Mothers Public School Celebrates 68th Republic Day 2017
On what rests the hope of the republic? One country, one language one flag.
Patriotism may not be for show for so many of us, yet we swell with pride on seeing young students march to the beat of the drums and shout out Bharat Mata Ki Jai with patriotic fervour. Mothers Public School celebrated the 68th Republic Day on 26th January 2017, in all its splendour. Students from classes I to XII took part in march past, drill display and a cultural programme in their colourful costumes. The chief-guest for the event was Mr. Dilip Kumar Samantaray from the Indian Railway Administrative Service, presently the Managing Director of Anugul-Sukinda railway ltd. He took the salute of the parade and later distributed prizes to the deserving students. A sports enthusiast, Sir Dilip Kumar Samantaray urged the parents to encourage their daughters to take part in different sports. Sports must be made an integral part in every childs learning experience was his observation. The other dignitaries present on the occasion, were the president of the school Governing Body Sir Bidhan Patnaik and the school principal Ms. Poly Patnaik. Sri Bidhan Patnaiks narration of the inspiring example of international sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik, who made it against all odds, was meant to instill a sense of self-reliance and hard work in all young minds.
Nurtured on the thoughts of equality and fairness these young minds will one day uphold the principles of the republic that India is. A nation as diverse as ours is able to stand united for the glory that we share and this celebration was a manifestation of the joy we feel as Indians.
